Owner dedicated to ‘a better nights sleep'

Robert Hummel, owner of the Advanced Sleep Disorders Center located at 412 Alder St. Brookings. Feels that the coastal area possesses the perfect balance of friendly and intimate small towns combined with knowledgeable physicians is the perfect balance for this business to survive.

Born and raised in the Rogue Valley, Robert traveled to England on a mission for his church, where he met his wife. Jade. They returned to the Rogue Valley where they married and raised 8 of their 10 children.

"I believe in quality of life for all" Hummel say's. "I am dedicated to helping others gain a higher quality of life by helping them have a better nights sleep."

Robert started in the sleep field in 1995. Over the years he was recruited to set up sleep Centers in Grants Pass and Florida before opening the Medford Facility in 2004.

"Having worked in the field for over ten years, I saw a need in thecoastal area for an office that would be comfortable and affordable for a wide range of people" Hummel continued. "We created an environment that is more a ‘home away from home'. A testing site that fosters a feeling of warmth and friendliness. This helps our patients be more relaxed which leads to a better nights sleep.

The Advanced Sleep Disorders center provides overnight sleep studies to diagnose possible sleep problems. On duty is Board Certified Sleep Physician and nuerologist Dr. Mark Reploeg, also the medical director at the Good Samaritan Center in Corvallis. "Dr. Reploeg is highly trained and skilled to interpret the findings of the tests offered at our facility," Hummel said.
