Letters: Cartoon of Colin Powell, Barack Obama was offensive

I was extremely offended and troubled by an editorial cartoon in Tuesday's paper of Gen. Colin Powell receiving a glass of Kool-Aid from what appears to be Barack Obama's hand.

The cartoon describes Gen. Powell asking for more while his mouth is drenched in the drink. Anyone who isn't a complete moron knows that this is very degrading to African-Americans.

I ask the editor to think twice about printing or allowing trash like this in a local paper. I expect to see this on a white power nationalist magazine, not The Triplicate.

This is Northern California 2008, not the Deep South 1958.
