Letters: D.A. wrong to say Jones shooting was justified |
In reference to the shooting of Eric Jones, how dare this be called justified? You shoot a man's dog when it comes toward you and then expect the owner not to do something. Come on. Any dog owner will tell you, "Hurt my dog, it's worse than hurting me." He had every right to come toward you. Five bullets. Mike Riese says he has no trouble letting people read his report. His written report. And audio. Can't see what's taking place by a recorder, can you? The guy was running, the report says. Well then, he wasn't trying to have a standoff now, was he? And personally if I knew three heartless people were chasing me, I'd run too. Then shoot my dog? You people who are supposed to uphold the law are pathetic (the deputies on the bridge, anyway). They're not all bad. But decipher who is who. Get rid of these bad seeds. How pathetic is it to handcuff a guy who was just shot in the abdomen and chest? What are you cops thinking? If you're that scared of people, quit your job! Riese, this is the second shooting you let the perpetrators walk away from. Misty LeMunyon Crescent City |
