Letters: Congratulations to this year's election winners

I would like to congratulate all the election winners and I hope that those of us whose candidates won or lost or even those that didn't bother to vote will be able to put aside our differences and try to work together for the good of us all.

I look forward to working with all of you to meet these goals for a brighter future. Just look at the numbers people are watching and getting involved.

Now if we could somehow get our governor to help us out!

A 1.5 percent increase in sales tax with no end to it in sight?

That is going to send even more of our California dollars north to Oregon and will mean less Oregon dollars will be coming south to us.

Speaking for myself, I think we need a law that says: no campaigning until the year of the election!
