Regarding the opening of Walgreens and closing of Pacific Drug, this sure sounds like a wonderful "win-win" situation. All the employees were retained with transferred accumulated benefits, and the owners got a great price for their business in a looming recession. All the employees that were at Pacific Drug seem as happy or happier now than they were before Walgreens came to town.
