Thursday, May 7 • At 1:28 a.m., two people fled from a driveway on the 4200 block of Lake Earl Drive after a light was turned on. • At 3:36 a.m., two suspects were reported still in a home after breaking in on the 300 block of Amador Street. • At 9:48 a.m., a possible electrical fire was reported on the 100 block of Harbor View Drive. • At 11:30 p.m., reported vandalism to a garage and boat on the 800 block of Fred Haight Drive in Smith River. • At 4:29 p.m., boxes of bees were reported in the roadway at LeClair and Humboldt. Friday, May 8 • At 12:42 a.m., a vehicle-into-building collision at Washington and Northcrest. • At 1:41 a.m., a man said he fired his shotgun at dogs attacking his livestock on the 700 block of Elk Valley Road. • At 9:38 a.m., CHP reported a man was sitting on side of U.S. Highway 101 in Klamath wearing a hospital gown and bracelet. • At 11:13 a.m., a juvenile with a pellet gun or rifle reported on the 1300 block of McNamara. • At 1:48 p.m., an office was reported burglarized on the 100 block of Alder Camp Road. • At 2:46 p.m., a person reported finding a wallet and ID cards in trees at the end of Sandmine Road. • At 10:22 p.m., a trailer fire was reported at Northcrest Trailer City, 1950 Northcrest Drive. Saturday, May 9 • At 12:49 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire at Pebble Beach at first turnout. • At 3:05 p.m., a swarm of bees was reported attempting to nest in a chimney on the 1400 block of A Street. • At 4:44 p.m., a vehicle accident was reported at U.S. Hwy. 101 and Reynolds in Fort Dick. • At 5:25 p.m., a wallet was reported stolen near the owner’s vehicle at Northcrest Trailer City, 1950 Northcrest Drive. • At 9:57 p.m., dogs were reported running around the 1300 block of Elk Valley Road. • At 10:17 p.m., report of a raw chicken placed in the venting system at Hidden Creek Apartments, 1000 Scenic Creek Drive. Sunday, May 10 • At 2:55 a.m., power boxes were reported broken into and damaged, along with a Dumpster thrown into the harbor at Citizens Dock Road. • At 2:20 p.m., $113 was reported stolen from a wallet at Elk Valley Casino, at 2500 Howland Hill Road. • At 5:44 p.m., a hit and run was reported at Del Norte County Fairgrounds. • At 7:06 p.m., juveniles reported jumping on roof at Denocos Federal Credit Union, 1244 Glenn St. • At 7:49 p.m., vehicle reported on its side near DeForest Hog Heaven Resort, 8280 U.S. Hwy. 199 in Gasquet. • At 9:37 p.m., report of person hit in the head with a rock thrown by a juvenile girl at Pebble Beach. Saturday, May 11 • At 9:21 a.m., a man reported he had cut his neck with a saw on the 100 block of Terrace Drive. • At 4:20 p.m., a home was reported broken into on the 100 block of Fizer in Klamath. • At 5:50 p.m., a $70 bike was reported stolen from Mary Peacock School, 1720 Arlington Drive. Tuesday, May 12 • At 5:55 a.m., a person said a man with a bike was looking into the window of a home on the 100 block of Pineview Court and had been in the backyard. • At 7:45 a.m., a window was reported broken out at Progressive Employment, 1080 Mason Mall. • At 1:12 p.m., paint balls were reported shot at home on the 1400 block of Blackwell. • At 2:19 p.m., a purse was reported stolen containing medication from the lobby at Urgent Care, 785 Washington Blvd. • At 5:47 p.m., tires were reported slashed at Las Palmas Mobile Home Park, 1775 Northcrest Drive. • At 6:20 p.m., a possible marijuana grow was reported on the 300 block of Brown Road. • At 7:04 p.m., a child with a dog bite to the face was reported by Sutter Coast Hospital. • At 7:11 p.m., a 4-year-old boy was found on the driveway of a home on the 1100 block of Burtschell, who only knew his first name and not his address. • At 7:23 p.m., a group of females were reported jumping out of a green BMW at El Dorado and Macken, starting an argument with two boys, then punching one of them. • From 8:28 to 8:32 p.m., an intoxicated man was reported running up and down the 200 block of Benson Avenue trying to fight people. • At 10:57 p.m., a brush fire was reported at Terwer Riffle Bridge off of U.S. Highway 169. Wednesday, May 13 • At 9:09 a.m. a home break-in was reported on the 100 block of Kristian Lane. • At 9:16 a.m., an assault with a steel bar was reported on the 1000 block of U.S. Hwy. 101. • At 10:25 a.m., a grass fire was reported near the Del Norte Department of Health and Social Services, 880 Northcrest. • At 11:15 a.m., construction equipment was reported vandalized and gas siphoned from a work site on Southfork Road. • At 3:38 p.m., a vehicle rollover was reported on the 4000 block of Lake Earl Drive. • At 6:20 p.m., a man was reported breaking windows and then throwing a TV out of one of them at a home near Sandmine and Humboldt roads. • At 7:38 p.m., a fight reported at Shangri-La Trailer Park, 1130 U.S. Hwy. 101.

Thursday, May 7 • At 2 a.m., an assault with a bat and robber were reported on the 500 block of Pacific Ave. • At noon, a brown and white pitbull was reported attacking other dogs at Sixth and A streets. • At 3:08 p.m., a 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon causing great bodily harm and public intoxication on the 500 block of U.S. Hwy. 101. Friday, May 8 • At 1:30 p.m., a woman was reported leaving a baby unattended in a vehicle at Fifth and K streets. She was arrested on suspicion of driving without a license. • At 4:15 p.m., a 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of spousal battery at Brother Jonathan Park on Pebble Beach Drive. • At 10:20 p.m., an intoxicated male was reported unconscious near the track at Crescent Elk Middle School at 994 G St. He was transported to Sutter Coast Hospital. Saturday, May 9 • At 7:19 a.m., a police dog located two marijuana pipes in a vehicle at Harding and El Dorado streets. • At 8:15 a.m., a 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and defrauding a business at Denny’s Restaurant, 1225 California St. • At 9:55 a.m., a window was reported broken out of a building behind the Del Norte County Unified School District Offices at 301 West Washington Blvd. • At 7 p.m., a person was reported fishing from a rock 200 feet out from shore on Pebble Beach with the tide coming in. • At 10:03 p.m., reported fight at Gardenia Motel, 119 L St. Police responded and a 58-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication. Sunday, May 10 • At 1 a.m., a 65-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI, hit and run at Chevron gas station, 315 U.S. Hwy. 101. • At 11:45 a.m., a fight was reported at Gardenia Motel. A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication. • At 7:45 p.m., clothing was found burned near the tennis courts at Del Norte High School. Monday, May 11 • At 2:34 a.m., three juveniles were located at B Street Pier who had been reported as Washington runaways. • At 7:30 p.m., vandalism reported at an apartment complex on the 200 block of F Street . Tuesday, May 12 • At 12:12 a.m., Chevron at 315 U.S. Hwy. 101 reported a person stole $100 in prepaid phone cards and the clerk’s cigarette pack. • At 3:59 a.m., a broken window was found after police responded to an alarm on the 200 block of U.S. Hwy. 101. • At 7:15 a.m., the back window of a car was reported broken out at Rumianos Cheese, 1342 Gainard St., and a rock was found in the back seat. • At 8 a.m., a window was reported broken out at Tab and Associates, 1080 Mason Mall. • At 8:25 a.m., two windows were reported broken out at Cheries Boutique, 933 Third St. • At 8:20 p.m., a 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of criminal threats and brandishing a weapon on the 700 block of Ninth Street. Wednesday, May 13 • At 3:51 a.m., a person said they witnessed a hit and run on the 1200 block of Northcrest Drive. • At 9:04 a.m., report of a fight at Del Norte High School. |
