Here are excerpts from the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office call logs for June 18-24.
• At 1:08 a.m. a home was reported burglarized and items stolen on the 100 block of Temple Street. • At 1:41 a.m. an assault was reported at a home on the 100 block of Miracle Lane. • At 2:15 a.m. domestic violence reported at a home on Hill Road in Klamath. • At 9:20 a.m. a person reported an attempted arson after finding a gate charred at a home on the 300 block of Olive Street. • At 11:12 a.m. a vehicle was reported vandalized and a storage shed rummaged through at a home on the 4900 block of King Valley Road. • At 5:47 p.m. a wedding ring was reported stolen from a home on the 2100 block of Railroad Avenue. • At 7:21 p.m. an apartment burglarized at Hidden Creek Apartments at 1000 Scenic Creek Drive.
• At 12:52 a.m. three people in a fight reported at Garth’s Beach near Point St. George. • At 3:16 a.m. someone in a white vehicle was seen vandalizing mailboxes on the 300 block of Bertsch Avenue. • At 5 a.m. a man was reported bleeding from face from an unknown cause in front of a home on the 1500 block of Carole Lane. • At 6:29 a.m. a window reported broken out of a vehicle on the 400 block of Humboldt Street. • At 7:21 a.m. a steer reported stolen from a home on the 3900 block of Kings Valley Road. • At 12:10 p.m. two windows broken out of a home at Spruce Haven Mobile Home Park at Howland Hill Road and Waldo Street. • At 4:59 p.m. mail tampered with on the 2900 block of Lake Earl Drive. • At 11:09 p.m. vandalism of a rental home reported on the 100 block of Klamath Blvd. • At 11:16 p.m. a report of a man with a knife attempting to break into a home on the 1600 block of El Monte.
• At 8:56 a.m. ongoing vandalism reported at a home on the 900 block of Humboldt Street. • At 10:31 a.m. a boat reported sinking outside the Crescent City Harbor. • At 12:05 p.m. a loud explosion reported at Arlington and East Madison roads. • At 2:11 p.m. an assault reported on the 900 block of Glenn Street. • At 6:01 p.m. sewage leaking out of a manhole cover and into the gutters reported near a home on the 1700 block of Gainard Street. • At 9:18 p.m. a person reported a suspect kicked in a door to a home on the 100 block of Emily Lane and then sped off in a silver vehicle.
• At 12:54 a.m. a domestic violence reported at a home on the 300 block of Olive Street. • At 4:36 a.m. multiple reports of a female screaming in the Howland Hill, Kerby and Barker roads area. • At 6:51 a.m. a stolen vehicle report taken after a Cadillac was reportedly driven onto the parking lot of Castle Rock Charter School at 1260 Glenn. • At 8:51 a.m. a window reported broken at a home on the 600 block of Pebble Beach Drive. • At 9:41 a.m. a person reported a white dog ran out from a home on the 500 block of Vipond Drive and attacked her dog. • At 11:36 a.m. a mountain bike, CD player and several other items stolen from a vehicle at Point St. George. • At 11:46 a.m. an injured sea lion reported at Endert’s Beach. • At 12:14 p.m. medication stolen from a home on the 100 block of Miracle Lane. • At 12:35 p.m. sewage reported spilling out of manhole cover on the 1700 block of Gainard Street. • At 1:08 p.m. a person reportedly brandishing knives and sticks at people in a home on the 1600 block of Northcrest Drive. • At 4:06 p.m. many items reported stolen from a locked vehicle on the 1600 block of Northcrest Drive. • At 4:57 p.m. a trailer home reported on fire on the 9700 block of U.S. Hwy. 101 in Smith River. • At 6:29 p.m. a domestic violence and attempted assault with a vehicle reported on the 2900 block of Elk Valley Road. • At 9:37 p.m. an intoxicated group of people reported illegally crabbing after dark in the Crescent City Harbor.
• At 8:08 a.m. tires slashed on the 4900 block of Elk Valley Road. • At 11:47 a.m. tools reported stolen from a workshop at a home on the 2600 block of Le Clair Avenue. • At 12:04 p.m. a pump house reported broken into at a home on the 1500 block of Lake Street, a rocking chair and several other items reported stolen. • At 9:17 p.m. domestic violence reported in front of Toreros Mexican Restaurant at 400 U.S. Hwy. 101.
• At 4:07 a.m. two people reportedly looking into and around the outside of homes with flashlights on the 400 block of Valley View. • At 6:30 a.m. graffiti reported on the garage door of a home on the 900 block of McNamara. • At 7:43 a.m. graffiti on the side of a car reported on the 1000 block of Keller Avenue. • At 8:34 a.m. a vehicle tampered with on the 500 block of Sultan Road. • At 9:09 a.m. the Oregon National Guard requested deputy assistance in contacting an AWOL soldier at a home on Fred Haight Drive in Smith River. • At 1:20 p.m. fishing gear reported stolen from the back of a truck on the 1600 block of Bethesda Way. • At 1:47 p.m. a male reportedly chasing a female down the 800 block of Small Street. • At 5:11 p.m. around $520 reported stolen from a person’s bank account on the 1600 block of El Monte Street. • At 7:21 p.m. a female reported being assaulted at U.S. Hwy. 100 and U.S. Highway 169 in Klamath. • At 8:40 p.m. a fight reported between two men on the 1600 block of Railroad Avenue. • At 11:44 p.m. a domestic violence reported at a home on the 200 block of Temple Street.
• At 8:56 a.m. a house broken into on Maple Road in Klamath. • At 9:17 a.m. suspicious substance left in milk cartons near a home at Seawood Village West, 1403 Inyo St. • At 1:13 p.m. a purse stolen from the 1200 block of Murphy Avenue. • At 5:44 p.m. Crivelli’s Restaurant at U.S. Hwy. 169 in Klamath reported two windows broken out and one opened. The restaurant said it is part of an ongoing burglary problem. • At 6:53 p.m. a domestic violence reported on the 300 block of Darby Road.
• At 7:05 p.m. a motorcycle over the edge of U.S. Highway 101 reported 11 miles south of Crescent City. Here are excerpts from the activity log of the Crescent City Police Department for June 18-24.
• At 1:29 p.m. a female was reportedly smoking marijuana in a phone booth on the 400 block of U.S. Highway 101. The woman had a Prop. 215 card and was not cited. • At 5 p.m. a vehicle was reportedly spray-painted on the 100 block of East Condor Street.
• At 10:40 a.m. a 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of battery against a cohabitant and injury to a child after police responded to a domestic violence call on the 1100 block of Marshall Street. • At 6 p.m. a 33-year-old man was reportedly locked in the bathroom at Battery Point Lighthouse. • At 11:19 p.m. police assisted the Sheriff’s Office with a reported home invasion on the 1600 block of El Monte Road. A combative 16-year-old was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest, public intoxication, trespassing and vandalism.
• At 9:52 a.m. a bicycle versus car accident was reported at Fourth and I streets. • At 11:41 a.m., a fight was reported between a juvenile female and adult female on the 300 block of U.S. Hwy. 101. Police responded and the juvenile was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and released to a parent. • At 10:15 p.m. a hit and run was reported on the 700 block of L Street. A vehicle allegedly ran into a light pole, onto a sidewalk and possibly into some pedestrians. The vehicle was abandoned at Fourth and L and the event is still under investigation.
• At 1:15 p.m. a reported dispute over child custody involving two men on the 900 block of U.S. Hwy. 101. • At 1:40 p.m. report of a home burglarized on the 800 block of C Street. Police responded and arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of receiving stolen property at the home. • At 2:40 p.m. police assisted the Sheriff’s Office with the arrest of three men in an attic in a home on the 300 block of Cooper Avenue. • At 4:55 p.m. possible stolen property recovered on the 1100 block of Keller Avenue. • At 7:35 p.m. police dog located marijuana and a marijuana pipe in a vehicle at Parkway and Washington Boulevard.
• At 9 a.m. a Ford F-150 extended cab truck, with Renner Petroleum logos on its side was reported stolen from Renner Petroleum at 255 U.S. Hwy. 101. According to the log, keys were in the truck. • At 9:40 a.m. a vehicle reportedly broken into on the 1100 block of Oregon Street. • At 11:18 a.m. a 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of battery of a cohabitant, vandalism and tampering with a vehicle after police responded to a domestic disturbance call at a home on the 500 block of H St. • At 2:05 p.m. an unlocked vehicle was reported burglarized and insurance papers reported missing on the 1100 block of Oregon Street. • At 2:22 p.m. extra patrol requested on the 600 block of Pacific Ave. after footprints found outside bedroom window. • At 10:55 p.m. an illegal camp was disbanded after a large campfire was reported at the east end of Fifth Street.
• At 6:20 a.m. a man was found sleeping in the playground at Joe Hamilton School at 1050 E Street by staff. • At 3 p.m. police received a report of an assault with a deadly weapon occurring at a home on the 900 block of Ninth St. Police responded and the allegations were found to be unfounded. A man was issued a trespassing warning.
• At 12:12 a.m. a juvenile reported missing from a home on the 1300 block of Breen was found at Crescent City Cinemas. • At 1 p.m. a motorcycle was reported driving on the Crescent City jetty. Police warned the person to stay off the jetty. • At 5:22 p.m. police responded to a reported altercation at a home on the 1800 block of Northcrest Drive. An injured person was later interviewed at Sutter Coast Hospital. |
