Obituary: Ronald Dean Senior (March 25, 1957 - July 3, 2009)

Ronald Dean Senior, 52, passed away July 3, 2009, in Crescent City, Calif. Born March 25, 1957 in Burbank, Calif., Ronald was a 20 year resident of Del Norte County, having worked as a registered nurse at Seaside Hospital, Sutter Coast Hospital and Pelican Bay State Prison. While at Pelican Bay he received the California Medal of Valor for his services rendered during the riots back in 2000. Ronald attended the Church of God of Prophecy as well as being a licensed minister for the Church of God of Prophecy. He loved to play guitar, computer games and riding his motorcycle. Ronald served his country in the United States Army where he qualified as an expert marksman. Ronald will be remembered as a father figure to everyone he met.

Survivors include:wife Jeanie Senior of Crescent City, Calif.; son Cpl. Micah Senior and wife Kelli of 29 Palms, Calif., daughter Heather Senior of Crescent City, Calif., son Scott Senior of Crescent City, Calif., daughter Veronica Butcher and husband Andrew of Crescent City, Calif., and son Joel Senior of Washougal, Wash.; grandchildren Erin, Shaunna, Jadelynn, Dalton, Cameron, Jason, Shaelyn, Savonah, Dawson, Elizabeth and Fayth; sister Judy Stoddard of Ocean Park, Wash., and numerous "adopted" children and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents Robert and Ardyth Senior and brother-in-law Tony Stoddard.

Contributions may be made in Ronald’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 1301 Northcrest Dr., Crescent City, Calif. 95531.

Memorial Services will be held Thursday July 9, 2009, 4:00 P.M. at the Church of God of Prophecy at 900 North Butte Street, Crescent City, Calif.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City, Calif.
