Crescent City Triathlon to be held on Aug. 23

The 25th Annual Crescent City Triathlon will take place next month. The event is set for Aug. 23.

There will be an adult sprint triathlon (500 yard swim, 12 mile bike, 3.1 mile run) and a duathlon 

(1 mile run, 12 mile bike, 3.1 mile run). Both races start at 8:30 a.m.  

Participants will compete in age divisions ranging from 13 and under to 60 and    

up; triathlon teams are encouraged for combined age groups of under 100, 100-135, and over 135 years.

The 6th Annual Kids Triathlon will start at 11 a.m., with age divisions of 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and distances appropriate to each age group.

Pick up entry forms at the Fred Endert Pool, Back Country Bicycles, online at www.racecenter.com , or on the day of the event.

 Registration costs increase after Aug. 9.
