A celebration of life service will be held at the Lighthouse Inn, 681 Hwy. 101 S., Crescent City,  on Sunday at 1 p.m. Arrangements by Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.

• Sharon Diane Wright, 67, of Crescent City, died June 28, 2009. She was born April 3, 1942, in Crescent City.

There is no service information at this time.

• Charlotte M. Parker, 90, died July 26, 2009, in Fallon, Nev. She was born Feb. 13, 1919, in Huntsville, Ark.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home, 505 Rio Vista Drive, Fallon, Nev. Interment will be at the IOOF cemetery in Crescent City on Aug. 3. The family suggests donations be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.

• Harry O. Payne, 93, of Brookings, Ore., died July 18, 2009, in a Medford, Ore., hospital. The former Crescent City resident was born Oct. 1, 1915, in Oregon.

A celebration of life will be held at the Howonquet Community Center in Smith River on Aug. 8 at 1 p.m.

• Barbara Anne Horton, 90, of Grants Pass, Ore, died Friday, July 24, 2009. The former longtime Crescent City resident was born Aug. 6, 1918, in Lake Butler, Fla.

• Harvey George Shafer, 86, died July 26, 2009, in Eureka. He was born Oct. 14, 1922, in Rio Dell.

Celebration of life services will be held at the VFW Hall on Aug. 8. A full obituary will appear later with the time of services. Arrangements by Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.

• Karin Leigh Brock, 65, died July 20, 2009, in Crescent City. The eight-year resident of Del Norte County was born June 12, 1944, in Seattle.
