• Thomas Jon Timmer, 58, died July 25, 2009, at Mad River Community Hospital. The 40-year resident of Del Norte and Humboldt counties was born Jan. 4, 1951, in Anchorage, Alaska.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday at the Fort Dick Grange.

The family suggests donations in his name for a harbor memorial bench can be made at Chase Bank on 3rd Street in Crescent City in care of the Thomas J. Timmer Memorial.

• Charles Ray Wallace, 83, passed away on July 29, 2009 in Crescent City. He was born on December 5, 1925, in Redwood City.

He was a three-year resident of Del Norte County. Graveside services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Del Norte County Veteran’s Cemetery.
