• Verna V. Williams, 82, died Aug. 12, 2009, in Crescent City. She was born Dec. 24, 1926, at Griffin

Creek Ranch in Medford, Ore., and moved to Fort Dick in 1943.

At her request no services will be held. The family requests memorials be made to Crescent City Nursing & Rehab, 1280 Marshall St., Crescent City, CA 95531, or to the Humane Society of Del Norte, 821 Elk Valley Road, Crescent City, CA 95531. Arrangements by Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.

• Harold Wesley Siedschlag, 83, died Aug. 7, 2009, in Deming, Wash. The former Del Norte County resident was born July 28, 1926, in Berlin, N.D.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Immanual Lutheran Church, 5782 Lawrence Road, Everson, Wash.
