Disa Jean Dahlin (June 21, 1947 - Aug 2009)Disa Jean Dahlin passed away at age 62. She was born June 21, 1947, in Vancouver, Wash. She spent her early life in Sacramento and moved to Gasquet in 1973 to work for the U.S. Forest Service. After spending 3 years in the Forest Service, she had a variety of jobs, including highway construction, followed by a job with CalTrans from which she retired in 2005. For the past several summers, she worked for the Forest Service as a Recreation Tech.
Disa met Wally Borgeson while they both were working at the Forest Service and they married in 1990. She was always happiest while outdoors. Her main passion was her yard/garden and she was extremely proud to have completed the program to earn the title of Master Gardener. In addition to Wally Borgeson, she is survived by her father, Arthur Dahlin; brother, Eric Dahlin (wife Cheryl) and a son, Brian Frazee. She was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Dahlin. A memorial gathering/ potluck will be held the afternoon of Saturday, August 22, at the Legion Hall in Gasquet starting a noon. Contributions in her memory should be sent to Lighthouse Repertory Theater.
