• Lester Owen Crook, 84, died Aug. 9, 2009, in Sunnyvale, Calif. He was born in Smith River.
A wake will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Roses, Oak Hill Funeral Home, San Jose. The family requests donations in his name be made either to the St. George Reef Lighthouse Preservation Society, P.O. Box 577, Crescent City, CA 95531, or the Del Norte County Historical Society, 577 H St., Crescent City, CA 95531. • Dennis Lyle Yates, 64, died Aug. 12, 2009, in Klamath. The 54-year resident of Del Norte County was born Aug. 17, 1944, in Fargo, N.D. A celebration of life will be held at Crivelli’s in Klamath Glen on Saturday at 7 p.m. Arrangements by Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City • Allan Lewis Snyder, 72, died Aug. 17, 2009, in Crescent City. The seven-year resident of Del Norte County was born Dec. 15, 2009, in Orange, Calif. Memorial services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church on Friday at 10 a.m. Arrangements by Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City. |
