 Dara Daniels and her “Ravens on a Gate." The Daily Triplicate/Laura Wiens Dara Daniels took first place with her pastel, “Ravens on a Gate,” in the 5th annual Coast Redwoods Art Association National Juried Art Competition. Winners were announced during a reception and awards ceremony on Sept. 5 at Crescent Harbor Gallery. Third place winner was Muriel Northrip for her acrylic, “View From Above.” Wayne Bricco took  Muriel Northrip and her “View From Above.” The Daily Triplicate/Laura Wiens second place for his pen and ink, “Ol’ Blue.” Honorable mentions went to Pete Chasar, Debbie Dawson, Dara Daniels (for another entry) and Jackie Helgeson. The People’s Choice award was tied three ways by Audi Stanton, Muriel Northrip and Randy McMillen. The show will hang at the gallery through Sept. 29.
