• Gregory Anthony Calabretta, 84, died Sept. 5, 2009, in Crescent City. He was born Feb. 7, 1925, in Santa Clara and was a six-year resident of Del Norte County.
Graveside services will be held at Patterson District Cemetery, 10800 Hwy. 33, Patterson, Calif., today at 1 p.m. Arrangements by Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City. • Marvin A. Bingham, 78, died Aug. 17, 2009, in Beaverton, Ore. The longtime Smith River resident was born Sept. 29, 1930, in Los Angeles. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Smith River Cemetery, and afterward a “celebration of life” at will be held at the Ship Ashore recreation hall, potluck dishes are welcome. In lieu of flowers, consider a memorial donation to The Parkinson’s Foundation: www. Parkinson.org. • Mary Iola Perryman Gehr, 79, died Sept. 6, 2009. She was born Nov. 7, 1929, in Conway, Mo. Services will be held Saturday at 5 p.m. at the United Methodist Church. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Community Assistance Network. Arrangements by Weir’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.
