DN girls golf team takes 4th at HDNC event

The Del Norte High girls golf team had a solid showing on the links on Wednesday, taking fourth out of eight teams at a Humboldt-Del Norte Conference event at the Beau Pre Golf Course in McKinleyville.

For the second week in a row senior Kayla Bohannon had the top score for the Warriors with a 117.

Sydney Benson finished with a 129 while Nikki Fugate shot a 134. Shelby Slayton finished with a score of 137, as did Jessica Cole and Katie Quick shot a 143.

“I was happy with how we played,” Warrior head coach Chris Rice said. “We will continue to improve.”
