Maximiliano “Max” Perez Pimental (Sept. 23, 1932 - Sept. 10, 2009)

Maximiliano "Max" Perez Pimentel, 76, died Sept. 10, 2009, in Crescent City. He was born Sept. 23, 1932, in Coalcoman Michoacan, Mex­ico, and was a 35-year resident of Del Norte County.

He worked many years at various lumber mills in the region. In 1979, Max and his wife opened their restaurant "Mexico Café" which they owned and operated for nearly two decades. It was there where Max made many friends with fellow Crescent City neighbors as well as people passing through.

His surviving family consists of his wife of 43 years, Socorro; son, Rene; daughters, Melinda, Socorro, Norma, and Diana; thirteen grandchildren, and one great-grand daughter.

Max's fun spirit and laughter will never be forgotten.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City, CA.
