Corvette Stingrays roll into town today

A group of 1963-67 Corvette Stingray owners will be pulling into Crescent City today as one of the stops on their 2009 Pacific Road Trip.

The trip will take them from Vancouver, BC, to San Diego, and will cover approximately 2,100 miles. The group consists of eight Corvette owners with spouses or friends who met in Vancouver, BC, on Sept. 15 to start the journey south. Traveling a little more than 100 miles a day, it should take them 17 days to reach San Diego.

One of the owners started the trip in New York and will travel almost 8,100 miles when he returns. He has been logging the adventure on a Web site: www.63-67corvette.com.

There are members from Illinois, Minnesota, Arkansas and Southern California participating in this cruise.

During their stay in Crescent City, they will be meeting in the harbor area. Anyone wishing to view the cars is invited to stop by in the late afternoon today.
