Submitted Photo Last month, Daniel Standring, 10, of Crescent City, was named a finalist in Banzai Toy Company's "Toy Tester" Contest. The contest was open to children ages 10 to 18 who wanted to be Banzai's first ever "Toy Tester" and be paid $100 an hour for testing out toys and giving their opinions.
To enter the contest, applicants had to submit a video of themselves and their typical activities throughout the day and state why they'd like to be a "Toy Tester" for Banzai Toys.
Out of hundreds of entries, Daniel was chosen as one of five finalists and invited with the finalists to come to a "Toy Testing" Backyard Party at a mansion in Woodland Hills in Southern California, where many Banzai inflatable slides and pool toys were set up for the kids to try out. They were allowed to bring their families with them.
The overall winner of the contest was Madison Lewandowski, who was chosen to get paid for her time testing the toys. The other finalists still enjoyed the party and received free Banzai skim boards and water guns.
