Sophomore Kathryn Gustafson, the No. 1 singles player for Del Norte High, plays in a match against McKinleyville at home on Tuesday. Gustafson won 6-2, 6-0 to go to 5-0 for the year. The Warriors downed the Panthers to improve to 2-4 for the season. Since McKinleyville only had five players they forfeited the No. 6 singles match and No. 3 doubles. Meghan Webb, the No. 2 singles seed for the Warriors, won 6-4, 6-4 while No. 3 seed Samantha Bausch won 4-6, 7-5, 6-2. No. 4 seed Wendy Gamboa lost 5-6, 6-2, 4-6. No. 5 seed Kaitlyn Stephens won 6-1, 8-6. Del Norte won the No. 1 singles 8-1 and No. 2 singles 8-3.
