Here are excerpts from the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office  call logs for Oct. 1-7.

Thursday, Oct. 1

• At 2:30 a.m. a prowler reported at a home on the 300 block of West Lauff Avenue.

• At 8:11 a.m. a prowler reported in a supposedly vacant home on the 3800 block of Kings Valley Road.

• At 4:25 p.m. items stolen from a home on the 100 block of Garner Lane.

• At 8:18 p.m. domestic violence reported on the 100 block of Hiouchi Drive.

• At 8:36 p.m. a brush fire 1/4 mile south of Lucky Seven Casino on the 13000 block of U.S. Highway 101 in Smith River.

• At 10:01 p.m. report of domestic violence on the 1000 block of Scenic Creek Drive.

• At 8:25 p.m. prowlers reported inside a supposedly vacant trailer at Spruce Haven Mobile Home Park on the 100 block of Waldo Street.

Friday, Oct. 2

• At 1:27 p.m. jewelry reported stolen from an apartment on the 1000 block of Scenic Creek Drive.

• At 4:34 p.m. a camera stolen from a home on the 6400 block of Kings Valley Road.

• At 8:05 p.m. two males fighting  on the 1300 block of West Washington Boulevard.

• At 9:30 p.m. a male reported brandishing a baseball bat and threatening people as they drive by at Pacific Shores at Kellogg Road and Tell Boulevard.

Saturday, Oct. 3

• At 2:45 a.m. a home burglary on the 200 block of Pike Street.

• At 1:51 p.m. a wallet and firearm reported stolen from a vehicle parked at Stout Grove off Howland Hill Road.

• At 2:04 p.m. a vegetation fire near U.S. Hwy. 101 north of Tamarak Road.

• At 5:22 p.m. a bicycle wreck with the victim suffering facial and hand lacerations two miles up Low Divide Road in Smith River.

• At 9:37 p.m. an assault on the 4200 block of U.S. Highway 169 in Klamath.

Sunday, Oct. 4

• At 12:40 a.m. a person in Sutter Coast Hospital’s emergency room reportedly assaulted staff.

• At 2:42 a.m. a woman reported catching two subjects attempting to break into her vehicle who then fled and were in her backyard on the 2700 block of Roy Avenue.

• At 2:57 a.m. a person reportedly caught a juvenile in the middle of attempting to burglarize a vehicle on the 700 block of Endert Street.

• At 9:25 a.m. an electric power transformer reported on fire on the 2700 block of Holben Road.

• At 1:20 p.m. a suspicious vehicle driving around the 200 block of Sea Foam Drive with an occupant attempting to sell “a bunch of generators and equipment.”

• At 7:33 p.m. a diabetic person got lost birdwatching at Pacific Shores with low blood sugar and without medication.

Monday, Oct. 5

• At 12:34 p.m. a nude male reported yelling obscenities on the 900 block of Pacific Avenue.

• At 1:37 p.m. a prowler reported attempting to look into a sliding glass door from the backyard of a home on the 100 block of Breakwater Drive.

• At 2:29 p.m. a possible stolen vehicle reported on the 900 block of PJ Murphy Memorial Drive in Klamath.

• At 2:36 p.m. a mattress on fire inside a garage on the 1800 block of Blackwell.

• At 4:52 p.m. a garden hose reportedly stuck under a door and turned on at a home on the 990 block of Inyo Street.

• At 5:57 p.m. a laptop stolen from a home on the 100 block of Miracle Lane.

• At 6 p.m. a stash of empty alcohol bottles stolen from Crivelli’s Restaurant in Klamath found on the levy across from the establishment.

• At 6:20 p.m. a juvenile seen attempting to start a fire at Old Mill and Harmony roads.

• At 6:31 p.m. contents of a wallet stolen from home on the 1800 block of Northcrest Drive.

• At 7:03 p.m. a rental vehicle broken into at Crescent Beach overlook.

• At 7:25 p.m. a fire reported near Knutsen Lane in Smith River.

Tuesday, Oct. 6

• At 11:34 a.m. holes reportedly dug to attempt to locate archaeological items on the 4300 block of Pebble Beach Drive.

• At 11:40 a.m. a black plastic bag full of entrails found on the 100 block of Pebble Beach Drive.

• At 11:50 a.m. a home broken into on the 370 block of Lauff Avenue.

• At 12:19 p.m. a suspicious male reportedly taking pictures of kids on the 1300 block of West Washington Boulevard while parked at the bus stop at Seawood Village East.

• At 11:48 p.m. a door of a home kicked in on the 370 block of Lauff Avenue.

Wednesday, Oct. 7

• At 1:39 a.m. items stolen from a home on the 500 block of Elk Valley Road.

• At 11:15 a.m. a patient at the Sutter Coast Hospital ER reported being injured during a fight on the 2000 block of Howland Hill Road.

• At 1:57 p.m. a Dumpster reported on fire next to a trailer at Shangri-la Trailer Park on the 1100 block of U.S. Hwy. 101.

• At 11:45 p.m. an assault in the wooded area behind Mary Peacock School on the 1700 block of Arlington Drive.


Here are excerpts from the activity log of the Crescent City Police Department for Oct. 1-7.

Thursday, Oct. 1

• At 12:20 a.m. police responded to a disorderly conduct call at the U.S. Highway 101 shopping center and arrested a 62-year-old man on suspicion of public intoxication and failure to register as an out-of state sex offender.

• At 10:33 a.m. a bicycle reported stolen from the 800 block of I Street.

Friday, Oct. 2

• At 5:30 a.m. a van reported vandalized and the suspect reported as cutting himself and leaving blood in the vehicle on the 500 block of Pacific Avenue.

• At 2:41 p.m. a pedestrian reportedly dragged by a vehicle on the 700 block of D Street. Police responded and determined that the victim had reached into a truck and the driver of the truck had driven away. The driver, a 29-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon causing great bodily harm a short while later, heading toward U.S. Hwy. 101.

• At 6:24 p.m. a person seen dumping trash from a Mercedes Benz on the 1000 block of Pacific Avenue and then leaving.

Saturday, Oct. 3

• At 10:05 a.m. a wallet stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 1200 block of Marshall Street.

• At 8:40 p.m. a fight on the 1000 block of East Condor.

Sunday, Oct. 4

• At 4:30 p.m. property stolen from an apartment on the 730 block of Ninth Street.

Monday, Oct. 5

• At 4:38 p.m. a burglary reported on the 1100 block of Gainard Street.

• At 9:13 p.m. the front window of a home shot at and damaged with a pellet gun on the 200 block of Sixth Street and then a juvenile seen running away.

Tuesday, Oct. 6

• At 9:16 a.m. police responded to an assault at Del Norte High School, 1301 El Dorado, and arrested a 16-year-old juvenile male on suspicion of battery on schoolgrounds and battery against a school employee.

• At 1 p.m. the owner of the recently closed Curves women’s gym reported that  equipment, files and a computer were stolen from the building on the 200 block of L Street.

• At 8:34 p.m. police responded to a report of domestic violence on the 1400 block of Gainard and arrested a 36-year-old male suspect on suspicion of domestic violence.

Wednesday, Oct. 7

• At 2:10 a.m. dirty laundry reported stolen from a garage on the 1300 block of Breen.

• At 9:15 a.m. police responded to a domestic violence report on the 300 block of East Harding and arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of spousal battery.

• At 11:38 a.m. a box of hitches were stolen from the bed of a truck on the 700 block of Eleventh Street.
