Kiwanis Club announces People’s Choice winner

The Kiwanis Club of Crescent City is in charge of the Arts and Crafts building each year at the Del Norte County Fair. The members set up the room, receive entries and provide security during the fair. Before the fair opens, the art is jud­ged and awards attached to each entry. Those attending the fair vote for the “Peoples’ Choice,” judged by them as the “best” of all displayed. The Peoples’ Choice winner this year was Caroline Gill for “The Unconsolable Child.”

This yearly project is one of joy for Kiwanians. There are many families whose members enter every year. Del Norte is a thriving art community. We encourage families and teachers to start saving art work for the 2010 fair.
