Here are excerpts from the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office call logs for Oct. 8-14.

Thursday, Oct. 8

• At 3:16 a.m. a male caught a female attempting to break into his home on the 90 block of Redwood Road in Klamath and detained the suspect while armed with a baseball bat.

• At 5:29 a.m. a flashlight modified into a pipe was found at Mary Peacock School on the 1700 block of Arlington Drive.

• At 6:28 a.m. a fire was reported in the yard of a home on the 2300 block of  Elk Valley Road.

• At 10:12 a.m. an ongoing problem of vicious dogs running loose on the 1400 block of Gasquet Flat Road in Gasquet.

• At 12:08 p.m. a home burglarized and items stolen on the 1000 block of PJ Murphy Memorial Drive in Klamath.

• At 7:13 p.m. a person assaulted by another with a flashlight on the 200 block of Third Street in Smith River.

Friday, Oct. 9

• At 1:48 p.m. a woman reported her husband had fallen off the side of a road near the Middle Fork of the Smith River Bridge.

Saturday, Oct. 10

• At 1:07 a.m. domestic violence reported  on the 100 block of Klamath Boulevard in Klamath with a male with a cut on his leg.

• At 7:39 a.m. the lock pried off a shed on the 100 block of Conrad Street.

• At 11:39 a.m. Bar-O Boys Ranch on U.S. Highway 199 in Gasquet reported that three inmates had walked away.

• At 12:28 p.m. a bicycle wreck on the 2500 block of Elk Valley Cross Road.

• At 6:03 p.m. a female reported being assaulted, then having her vehicle stolen by the assailant on the 1300 block of South Pebble Beach Drive.

• At 7:33 p.m. a vegetation fire at Dead Lake north of Washington Boulevard.

• At 11:23 p.m. a fight reported at the Smith River Community Center on the 200 block of First Street.

Sunday, Oct. 11

• At 8:19 a.m. a vehicle rollover was reported 6 miles north of Gasquet on U.S. Highway 199.

• At 8:35 a.m. rims stolen from a vehicle on the 2000 block of Evergreen Lane.

• At 4:28 p.m. two males reported fighting on the 30 block of Weber Drive.

Monday, Oct. 12

•At 5:40 a.m. a suspicious vehicle was reported on the 2700 block of Alder Road near a home. Residents reported driving up to the vehicle, then seeing a man jump out and then blocking the vehicle in, with a female still inside.

• At 7:47 a.m. a vehicle broken into, tires slashed and several items stolen from it at Tolowa Dunes State Park.

• At 2:50 p.m. a person reportedly damaging the inside of a home with a baseball bat on the 800 block of Murphy.

• At 3:12 p.m. multiple locks reported cut on storage units on the 100 block of Arnett Street and the inside of one unit  “ransacked.”

• At 4:14 p.m. domestic violence reported on the 1900 block of Northcrest Drive.

• At 4:37 p.m. a vehicle windshield broken out and the vehicle dented on the 900 block of Keller Avenue.

• At 5:02 p.m. a structure fire at the end of Mouth of the Smith River Road in Smith River.

Tuesday, Oct. 13

• At 8:14 a.m. domestic violence reported on the 2200 block of Northcrest Drive.

• At 8:56 a.m. subjects reportedly loading items from a home of a person currently in jail on the 1600 block of Bethesda Way.

• At 9:53 a.m. a power pole reported on fire and igniting trees in the 1600 block of West Klamath Beach Road in Klamath.

• At 4:36 p.m. a power transformer explosion on the 200 block of White Lane.

• At 7:19 p.m. a structure fire on the 70 block of Maple in Klamath.

• At 7:50 p.m. a trailer reported burning in the area of U.S. Hwy. 101 and Redwood in Klamath.

• At 8:52 p.m. a fight involving two to three females reported on the 100 block of Klamath Boulevard in Klamath.

• At 9:40 p.m. two bears reported tearing down a fence to get to goats on the 500 block of Elk Valley Road.

• At 10:11 p.m. juveniles reportedly fighting on the 1400 block of Burtschell.

Wednesday, Oct. 14

• At 1:46 a.m. a vehicle in a ditch at Dayton and Old Mill roads.

• At 5:08 a.m. a vehicle versus tree at U.S. Highway 101 and Enderts Beach Road.

• From 5:30 a.m. to 7:05 a.m., multiple calls of trees down and weather-related problems in the Del Norte County area.

• At 10:27 a.m. a person reported being assaulted at the end of Old Mill Road.

• At 12:08 p.m. approximately 25 crab pots stolen from the Citizens Dock area at the Crescent City Harbor.

• At 12:29 p.m., eight to 10 2-by-4s stolen from the 600 block of Elk Valley Road.

• At 1:37 p.m. a laptop stolen from the 1900 block of Northcrest Drive.

• At 1:41 p.m. a vehicle over an embankment at U.S. Hwy. 101 and Vista Point.

• At 1:58 p.m. a vehicle accident 8.5 miles north of Hiouchi on U.S. Hwy. 199.

• At 2:25 p.m. an assault on the 1700 block of Arlington Drive.

• At 7:24 p.m. a door kicked in on the 200 block of Hill Street.

• At 9:10 p.m. a male reported punching through the window of a home, then attempting to get inside, on the 1600 block of Northcrest Drive.

Thursday, Oct. 8

• At 9:10 a.m. a man reported as hanging himself in a garage on the 500 block of West Condor.

Friday, Oct. 9

• At 11 a.m. a hit and run reported on the 450 block of H Street.

• At 9 a.m. juveniles reported breaking glass in the roadway on the 600 block of M Street.

• At 9:17 a.m. 10-15 males reportedly fight on the 800 block of Seventh Street.

• At 10:10 p.m. a hold-up robbery reported on the 600 block of Eighth Street.

Saturday, Oct. 10

• At 6:50 a.m. a woman reported a stray dog coming in through the dog door of her home and biting her on the 1100 block of Gainard Street. Police responded and a miniature pincer was taken to the pound.

• At 3:30 p.m. a fight between children reported at Kidtown on the 1000 block of Play Drive.

• At 10:15 p.m. a female assaulted by another female on the 700 block of Ninth Street.

Sunday, Oct. 11

• At 2:30 p.m. a theft reported at Rite Aid in the U.S. Hwy. 101 shopping center.

Monday, Oct. 12

• At 1:02 a.m. a locked vehicle broken into and items stolen on the 500 block of Eighth Street.

• At 11:05 a.m. a vehicle accident with injuries at Fifth and M streets.

• At 3:46 p.m. subject seen on surveillance camera stealing cigarettes from a gas station on the 300 block of U.S. Hwy. 101.

• At 4:23 p.m. a theft reported from Del Norte Office Supply on I Street.

Tuesday, Oct. 13

• At 11:20 a.m. a person reported seeing people from the future who stole his wallet after he cooked them breakfast on the 1000 block of U.S. Hwy. 101. Police responded and the man was taken to Sutter Coast Hospital for voluntary commital.

Wednesday, Oct. 14

• At 8:37 a.m. vandalism reported on the 700 block of Northcrest Drive.

• At 9:35 a.m. vandalism reported at Cristina’s Rest­aurant and Tab and Associates on the 200 block of Price Mall Drive.

• At 10 a.m. two tires punctured on a vehicle on the 500 block of Pacific Avenue.
