Thursday, Oct. 15 • At 12:05 a.m. a male reported being assaulted, then cutting his foot on broken glass on the 100 block of Lynch Lane. • At 2:31 a.m. a vehicle heard being possibly broken into on the 800 block of Lauff Avenue. • At 6:09 a.m. a male reported breaking into a home on the 1600 block of Northcrest Drive for the second time in two days. • At 9:54 a.m. a brush fire reported 50 feet off the road near Collyer tunnel on U.S. Highway 199. • At 11:17 a.m. an electric transformer reported on fire at Lake Earl and Elk Valley roads. • At 2:18 p.m. a motorcycle found in the front yard of a home on the 300 block of Klamath Beach Road in Klamath. • At 3:37 p.m. an ongoing problem reported of wood being stolen from the 600 block of Elk Valley Road. • At 10:28 p.m. domestic violence reported on the 1300 block of Douglas Street. Friday, Oct. 16 • At 2:44 a.m. domestic violence reported on the 16000 block of U.S. Hwy. 101. • At 7:20 a.m. a 500-pound pumpkin reported stolen from the yard of a home on the 3000 block of Alder Road. • At 2:18 p.m. a vehicle rollover on the 600 block of West Washington Boulevard. • At 2:50 p.m. a purse stolen from a shopping cart at Wal-Mart, 900 E. Washington Blvd. • At 3:28 p.m. several mail boxes reported vandalized on the 6500 block of South Bank Road. • At 4:24 p.m. a fire reported on the 2800 block of Elk Valley Road. • At 5:11 p.m. an assault and an out-of-control juvenile reported on the 200 block of Hill Street. • At 8:10 p.m. trash being illegally burned at the end of U.S. Highway 169 in Klamath. Saturday, Oct. 17 • At 12:09 a.m. a window broken out and glass cutting a female’s arm on the 140 block of Klamath Boulevard. • At 2:35 a.m. juveniles throwing things at cars at Peveler and Darby streets. • At 8:27 a.m. a vehicle window broken out on the 3000 block of English Lane. • At 9:22 a.m. driver’s window broken out of a vehicle on the 5900 block of Lower Lake Road. • At 9:36 a.m. a burglary in progress reported on the 3100 block of Lake Earl Drive. • At 3:38 p.m. a suspect seen breaking the window out of a vehicle parked near the water tower on North Bank Road. • At 4:40 p.m. a hit-and-run involving the sign at Seawood Village on the 1300 block of West Washington Boulevard. • At 5:23 p.m. a vehicle rollover with head injuries reported at U.S. Hwy. 101 and Vista Point. • At 5:45 p.m. a vehicle burglarized at the end of Kellogg Road near Pacific Shores. • At 6:18 p.m. a male reportedly pointing a gun at a female and then firing it into the air on the 2500 block of U.S. Hwy. 199 in Hiouchi. Sunday, Oct. 18 • At 10:34 a.m. a capsized boat and people in the water at Walker Hole on the Smith River in Hiouchi. • At 10:48 a.m. an ongoing problem of gas being siphoned from a vehicle on the 960 block of Keller Avenue. • At 1:52 p.m. brandishing of a knife in a home on the 200 block of Redwood Avenue in Klamath. • At 2:02 p.m. vehicle window broken and items stolen on the 200 block of Stephanie Lane. • At 2:52 p.m. a dog biting another dog and chasing children on the 700 block of Hamilton. • At 11:12 p.m. a fight in progress on the 14000 block of U.S. Hwy. 101 in Smith River. Monday, Oct. 19 • At 8:17 a.m. cash stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 700 block of Bertsch Avenue. • At 11:46 a.m. assault reported on the 1100 block of U.S. Hwy. 101. • At 3:20 p.m. subjects seen stealing mail from multiple boxes on the 13000 block of Ocean View Drive in Smith River. • At 7:09 p.m. a vehicle accident on U.S. Hwy. 199 near Gasquet. Tuesday, Oct. 20 • At 8:03 a.m. a two-vehicle accident on the 700 block of U.S. Hwy. 101. • At 8:15 a.m. a wallet with $200, loose change, an MP3 player and several other items stolen from a vehicle on the 2700 block of Maher Avenue. • At 10:41 a.m. a female reportedly punched in the head and hot coffee poured on her at Fort Dick Market on the 6800 block of Lake Earl Drive. • At 1:42 p.m. a female bit in the hand by a dog at the bus stop on the 1900 block of Northcrest Drive. • At 2:24 p.m. a juvenile reportedly dressed as a tree carrying a gun near Mary Peacock School on the 1700 block of Arlington. The gun turned out to be a pellet rifle. • At 2:29 p.m. an iPod and wiring stolen from a vehicle and suspicious clothing left inside on the 2600 block of LeClair Avenue. • At 5:08 p.m. a bench with wrought-iron animals stolen from front yard of a home on the 640 block of Joaquin Street. • At 7:37 p.m. an assault involving two 7-year-olds and two older boys at Pine Grove School on the 900 block of Pine Grove Road. Wednesday, Oct. 21 • At 1:01 a.m. a person was caught attempting to break into a vehicle tool box on the 450 block of First Street in Smith River and fled. • At 8:06 a.m. a vehicle’s tires slashed and gas siphoned at Craigs Beach on the Smith River in Hiouchi. • At 8:44 a.m. items stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 1600 block of Lauff Avenue. • At 1:50 p.m. a handgun stolen from a home on the 50 block of Zwierlein Road in Klamath. • At 2:43 p.m. a fire in the trees reported near two homes on the 100 block of Pioneer Road in Gasquet. • At 3:40 p.m. CDs stolen from a home on the 700 block of U.S. Hwy. 101. • At 5:14 p.m. a vehicle accident at Fred Haight and Norris roads in Smith River.
Thursday, Oct. 15 • At 9:55 a.m. a shoplifting suspect was arrested after a foot chase from Safeway in the U.S. Highway 101 shopping center. • At 2:45 p.m. a traffic accident at Second and L streets. Friday, Oct. 16 • At 11:15 a.m. a female attacked by a dog at Ninth and H streets. • At noon a hit-and-run reported occurring on Oct. 15 on the 400 block of U.S. Hwy. 101. • At 10:13 p.m. an assault reported at Harding and Marshall. Saturday, Oct. 17 • At 12:25 a.m. an 18-year-old male and a male juvenile were arrested on suspicion of battery causing serious bodily injury for an assault that was reported at 10:13 p.m. on Friday. • At 6 a.m. police responded to a burglary in progress on the 500 block of H Street. A 50-year-old male was located in the building and was arrested on suspicion of burglary, vandalism and a probation violation. • At 5:50 p.m. police responded to a call of drugs being used in a vehicle in the U.S. Hwy. 101 shopping center. A juvenile was found in the vehicle and was arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled substances, resisting arrest and a local warrant. • At 9:44 p.m. an apartment was broken into on the 240 block of Eighth Street. Sunday, Oct. 18 • At 3:40 a.m. police responded to a domestic violence in progress on the 500 block of Eighth Street and arrested a 25-year-old woman on suspicion of corporal injury to a spouse. Monday, Oct. 19 • At 3:12 p.m. a dog bit by another dog and then the owner and dog fleeing on Howe Drive at Beachfront Park. • At 5:40 p.m. police responded to two females fighting on the 300 block of Harding. • At 11:30 p.m. police responded to a call that an assault victim was in front of Safeway in the U.S. Hwy. 101 shopping center. Tuesday, Oct. 20 • At 7:05 a.m. items were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 800 block of G Street. • At 9:25 a.m. a vehicle was reported vandalized and the title and registration stolen from it on the 700 block of Tenth Street. • At 9:40 a.m. an assault was reported on the 1000 block of U.S. Hwy. 101. • At 10:41 a.m. a grand theft (item of more than $400 value) reported from the 1200 block of Anzio Street. • At 7:10 p.m. an assault reported at Taco Bell on the 300 block of M Street. Police responded and located three victims at Rite Aid in the U.S. Hwy. 101 shopping center. Wednesday, Oct. 21 • At 6:25 a.m. extra patrols were requested in the area of Eighth and G streets due to recent burglaries. • At 9 a.m. a vehicle was broken into on the 1500 block of Anzio Street and a stereo was stolen. • At 9:15 a.m. a vehicle was broken into on the 300 block of Eighth Street and several power tools were stolen. • At 10:10 a.m. 50 DVDs were stolen from the 400 block of Harding Street. • At 3:40 p.m. a fight reported at Front Street Park. • At 7:06 p.m. police responded to a reported assault on the 170 block of Eighth Street and arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of battery and public intoxication. • At 10 p.m. police responded to a report of a possible DUI suspect who had pulled over to vomit and was now attempting to drive away from the Chevron fuel station on the 300 block of M Street. Police arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of DUI. |
