• Avis Ida Brumm, 98, died Oct. 31, 2009, in Crescent City. She was born Sept. 21, 1911, in Elgin, Minn, and was a 58-year resident of Del Norte County.
Visitation will be held at Wier’s Mortuary Chapel on Friday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday at 11 a.m., with interment to follow at St Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Crescent City. Arrangements by Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City. • Iola Mardell Giles, 82, died Oct. 29, 2009, in Brookings, Ore. She was born Dec. 17, 1926. in Storm Lake, Iowa, and was a 12-year resident of Del Norte County. Private services will be held. Arrangements by Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City. • Marvena Sue Lassle, 50, died Nov. 1, 2009, in Eureka. She was born Nov. 15, 1958, in Crescent City. No services are planned. |
