Obituary: Jody Robin Whipple-Norbury (Nov. 23, 1958-Nov. 2, 2009)

Jody Robin Whipple-Norbury, 50, passed away on November 2, 2009, in Ukiah. She was born on November, 23, 1958, in Crescent City. Jody was a resident of Mendocino County for 20 years. She graduated from Del Norte High School and attended College of the Redwoods in Crescent City. The accomp-lishments Jody was most proud of were her children and grandchildren.

She will be remembered for her fun, loving, and caring personality.

She is survived by her daughter, Summer Norbury; sons, Aaron and Chase Norbury; sister, Rhonda Brusch; mother Joanne Whipple; grand-children, Alexis Wagner and Shealynn Johnson; nephews, Sean and Dustin; and nieces, Misty and Monacco.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Whipple and brother, Ricky Whipple.

Family conducted grave-side services will be held at Smith River District Cemetery, Smith River, on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. Following the services, family and friends are invited for a potluck at the Elk Valley Rancheria Community Hall in Crescent City, 2298 North Ave.

Arrangements and care are under the direction of Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.
