Death notices Nov. 13, 2009

• Robert Earl Wafler, 87, died Nov. 11, 2009, in Medford, Ore. He was born in Granite City, Ill., on Sept. 29, 1922, and was a 31-year resident of Del Norte County.

Visitation will be at Wier’s Mortuary Chapel on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Monday at 11 a.m. with interment at Del Norte County Veteran’s Cemetery, Crescent City.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the VFW Post No. 1381, 810 H St., Crescent City 95531, or Gold Hill Grange, P.O. Box 34, Gold Hill, OR 97525. Arrangements by Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.

• Delbert Lewis Rackley, 59, died Nov. 11, 2009, in Medford, Ore. He was born Aug. 20, 1950, in Bakersfield, and was a nine-year resident of Del Norte County.

Graveside services will be held at the IOOF Memorial Cemetery on Monday at 1:30 p.m. Arrangements by Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.

• Sue Nichols, 83,  died Nov. 6, 2009. She was born July 23, 1926, in Oklahoma and was a 12-year resident of Del Norte county.
