Four DNYF teams in playoff action on Sunday

Three local teams will host playoff matchups at home at Mike Whalen Field on Sunday. The winners of the contests will go on to title games. The teams will be playing in Six Rivers Youth Football playoff action on Sunday. The Del Norte A White team will face the Redwood Knights starting at 9:00 a.m. at Mike Whalen Field at Del Norte High. The DNYF AA Blue squad will be playing Hoopa at 11:30 a.m. at Del Norte High. The DNYF AAA team will will face the Redwood Knights at 2 p.m. at Mike Whalen Field. The AA Gold squad will be playing the Redwood Knights at 11:30 a.m. at Ferndale The winner of each game will earn a berth in its respective championship game, which takes place on Nov. 22 at Humboldt State University in Arcata.
