Obituary: Frank Straw (Jan. 14, 1926 - Nov. 17, 2009)

Frank Straw Junior was born on January 14, 1926, in Oklahoma, passed away on November 17, 2009, in Crescent City. He was a World War II Army veteran proudly serving in the 88th Division 349th Infantry Regiment Company H. Frank was a 40-year resident of Del Norte County. He retired from Jack Kraft O.K. Tire store after 25 years of employment. He was married 28 years to Dora Vail until her passing in 1993. They will both be missed. He was a strong, hard-working man, a loving father, and loyal friend.

He is survived by his son, Charles R. Straw, and sister, Margie Puffouf.

Private inurnment has taken place at the Del Norte County Veteran’s Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.
