DN youth wrestlers have good showing at tourney

Eight Del Norte youth wrestlers competed at the Marshfield Tournament in Coos Bay, Ore., this past weekend.

In the miget division Justin Gudelouck took 1st, OJ Calleja was 2nd and Eric Gardner finished 4th.

Novice wrestlers were led by Dalton Nichols who earned a 1st place finish. Corey Gardner was 2nd, Coulson Turner 3rd and Cole Harper 5th.

Eric Turner captured first in the cadet division.

The team will head to the qualifying meets for the Oregon Classic on Jan. 2. The top three in each weight division will qualify for the Oregon Classic in Redmond, Ore.
