Obituary: Robert James Emery (Oct. 27, 1936 - Jan. 14, 2010)

Robert James Emery passed away on January 14, 2010 in Crescent City. He was born in San Francisco on October 22, 1936. He was a 4-year resident of Del Norte County, having also lived in Minnesota for 37 years, and in Oakland for 3 years. Bob served in the Air Force from 1954 until 1957.

Bob worked for Honey­well as a machinist and as an owner of Restoration Enterprise. He loved old vehicles and most of all his family.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mireille Emery of Crescent City; son, Bill and wife Lori Emery of Blaine, Minn.; daughter, Monique and husband James Hargreaves of Elk River, Minn.; son, John and wife Kristin Emery of Dallas; grandchildren, Jer­emiah, Zachary and Han­nah and brother Charles Emery.

Bob was preceded in death by his sister Susan Black.

Memorial services will be held at the Senior Center, 1765 Northcrest Drive, Cres­cent City from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 23. It will be a potluck dinner.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.
