• Amy Rachel Kaufmann, 26, died Jan. 25, 2010, in Klamath. She was born Dec. 8, 1983, in Crescent City.

Private family services are being held at this time. A public Celebration of Life service will be announced in the springtime. Family prefers contributions to the Amy Kaufmann Memorial Fund c/o Wild Rivers Community Foundation, 501 H St, Suite #5, Crescent City, CA 95531. This fund will provide for pet services because Amy had a special interest and love for animals. Arrangements by Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.

• Eleanor Mae Towers, 85, died Jan. 27, 2010, in Crescent City. She was born in Wakefield, Calif., on Feb. 6, 1924, and was a life-long resident of Del Norte County.

Visitation will be held at Wier’s Mortuary Chapel on Friday from noon to 7 p.m., with a Rosary services starting at 7 p.m. A Christian burial service will be held at Wier’s Mortuary Chapel on Saturday at noon with interment to follow at St Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
