Business using fictitious name

By Nicholas Grube

Triplicate staff writer

A Crescent City insurance company – the owners of which were arrested for allegations of insurance fraud – operates under more names than the one posted on its building, according to a Fictitious Business Name Statement filed with the county clerk on Monday.

Frazer, Yamor and Young Insurance Agency, which is owned and operated by Jerrold and Margaret Young, also is known as Young and Company Insurance Brokers, which is located at the Pelican Bay Company on 990 Front St.

The Youngs and one of there employees, Page Castro, were arrested in March for allegedly issuing fraudulent insurance policies and stealing insurance premiums from their custo-mers, thus leading customers to believe they had insurance when they apparently did not.

Anyone who conducted bus-iness with any of the aforementioned companies and believe they may be victims of fraud are encouraged to contact the Del Norte County District At-torney's Office at 464-7210.

Currently, the District Attorney's Office is looking into more than 50 incidents that may be linked to fraud from the Youngs' business.
