About 70 people attended a Del Norte Hispanic Chamber of Commerce event Thursday night.
Chamber President Lisa Serrano, of Full Spectrum Services Incorporated, presented awards to key representatives of the Hispanic community.
Steve Perez was honored for outstanding contribution to the Del Norte community and Hispanic of the Year Award.
Esperanza Esparza was honored as Outstanding Member of the Del Norte Community.
Simon Lopez Espinoza was received an award for new business and excellence in innovation.
Manos Unidos Incorporated President Juan Rosas Campos and board member Norma Pena gave addresses.
About 20 Hispanic business owners and collaborators were on hand, including Chetco Federal Credit Union, ReMax, State Farm Insurance, Home Depot, Tolowa Nation, Lucky 7 Casino, Wal Mart, La Espuela, Las Tapatias, La Joya and Gladiator Store.
Raliberto's Tacos donated food and drinks for everyone. Champion Awards and Engraving and Chetco Federal Credit Union provided the awards.
The Del Norte Hispanic Chamber is now expanding with collaborators that will include the Klamath Chamber and Hispanic members in Curry County.
