900 openings for teens to do conservation work

Del Norte teens have the opportunity to gain work experience outdoors doing conservation work.

The Northwest Youth Corps, based in Eugene, Ore., is hiring 900 teens to do conservation work all over the region, including Del Norte.

Teens 14-19 can apply and no experience is necessary, only a willingness to learn, work hard as a teen and travel to rugged areas. They can earn a paycheck and high school credit for completing the program.

There are programs in the spring, summer and fall throughout Northern California, Oregon, Washington and Idaho.

For more information and to apply, go to northwestyouthcorps.org.

Northwest Youth Corps is a non-profit organization that provides work and education opportunities for teens.
