A Brookings man flipped his truck five times after losing control of his vehicle on U.S. Highway 101 north of Hamilton Road on Monday.
George J. King, 68, was driving his 2002 Ford Ranger north around 1:40 p.m. when he left the roadway, striking a dirt embankment wall that caused his truck to overturn, according to the California Highway Patrol.
It was reported by a witness that the truck rolled over at least five times and evidence showed the vehicle traveled over 300 feet as it continuously rolled, the CHP stated.
King was transported to Sutter Coast Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries, the CHP stated.
King had his dog in the truck, which sustained minor injuries, the CHP stated. It was released to a family member.
