California road construction scheduled for Del Norte and Humboldt county

California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has the following projects slated for work through June 14.

Del Norte County

•U.S. Hwy. 101: From milepost 43.2-46.5, widening of the Gilbert Creek Bridge continues between 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect and motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

•U.S. Hwy. 199: From milepost 25.4-28.1, a curve realignment project from Siskiyou Fork Road to Idlewild Maintenance Station Road continues between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. One-way traffic control with a temporary signal is in effect 24/7, and motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays.

Humboldt County

•Hwy. 101 at milepost 5.6, rehabilitation of South Fork Eel River Bridge begins June 11 between 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel and motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.

•Between milepost 32.5-32.9, hillside stabilization from 0.7 miles to 0.3 south of Weott continues. Southbound traffic will be restricted to one lane 24/7. Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.

•Between milepost milepost 39.8-43.0, sink hole repair at approximately 2 miles north of Redcrest continues. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel 24/7 and motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.

•Between milepost 54.6 to 57.7, a project to replace the southbound Van Duzen River Bridge continues between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel 24/7, and motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.

•Between milepost 63.0 to 66.5, work on the median barrier project has been moved to a new location, from Finch Creek Road to 0 .5 miles north of Loleta drive. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel 24/7, and motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.

•Between milepost 79.8-85.9, a project to replace reflective pavement markers from Eureka Slough to the junction of Route 101/255 begins June 11. Work hours are 8 p.m.to 7 a.m. weekdays.Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel, and motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.

•U.S. Hwy 299 from milepost 15.9 t-21.0, pavement work will be performed from 3.5 miles east of Simpson Road to 0.4 miles west of Chezem Road beginning June 11 between 7 a.m to 5 p.m. One-way traffic control will be in effect, and motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

•Between milepost 24.6-38.6, a project to replace reflective pavement markers from Chezem Road to 0.1 miles west of Willow Road continues between 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect and motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Mendocino County

•Hwy. 101 between milepost 03.1-05.9, emergency slide material removal from Comminsky Station Road to Pieta Creek Bridge continues between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel, and motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.

•Between milepost 35.8-37.5, roadway repair due to pavement deterioration, from 03.6-01.9 miles south of Ridgewood Ranch Road continues. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel 24/7, and motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.

•Between milepost 81.0-84.0, a project to replace reflective pavement markers from 0.2 miles south of Bell Springs Road to Rattlesnake Creek Bridge begins June 14 between 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel, and motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.

•Between milepost 86.1-87.7, a shoulder improvement project from Hermitage Vista Point to the junction of Route 101/271 begins June 11 between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays. A shoulder closure will be in effect, and motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.

•Between milepost 99.2-99.5, construction of the Confusion Hill Bypass continues. Intermittent closures to allow access for delivery trucks June 13 between 7 a.m. and noon, and motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
