Caltrans construction planned next week
Drivers could face delays on several regional roads due to road construction planned through Thursday.
Caltrans plans to work on the following projects:
Del Norte County: U.S. Hwy. 101 from milepost 14.8 to 15.6, Caltrans continues pavement testing from 1 mile north to 1.8 miles north of Rudisill Road between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays. One-way traffic control is in effect, expect 10-minute delays.
From milepost 43.2 to 46.5, widening of the Gilbert Creek Bridge continues between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. weekdays. One-way traffic control is in effect and motorists should expect 15-minute delays.
U.S. Hwy. 199 from milepost 25.4 to 28.1, a curve realignment project from Siskiyou Fork Road to Idlewild Maintenance Station Road continues between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. weekdays. One-way traffic control is in effect and motorists can expect 15-minute delays.
Humboldt County: Hwy. 101 from milepost 39.8 to 43.0, sink hole repair at about 2 miles north of Redcrest continues with traffic flowing through one lane in each direction 24/7. Expect minor traffic slowdowns.
From milepost 54.6 to 57.7, a project to replace the southbound Van Duzen River Bridge continues between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. weekdays. Traffic is restricted to one lane in each direction 24/7. Expect minor traffic slowdowns.
