Motorists driving on regional highways may find themselves delayed due to road construction
Caltrans has scheduled the following road projects scheduled through Thursday:
Del Norte County
U.S. Hwy. 101 from milepost 43.2-46.5, widening of Gilbert Creek Bridge continues from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays. Expect one-way traffic control and 15-minute delays.
U.S. Hwy. 199 from milepost 25.4-28.1, a curve realignment from Siskiyou Fork Road to Idlewild Maintenance Station Road continues between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Expect a one-way traffic signal to be in effect 24/7, and five-minute delays.
Hwy. 101 at milepost 5.6, the South Fork Eel River Bridge project continues between 6 a.m. to 3p.m. weekdays. Expect one-lane traffic and minor traffic slowdowns.
Between milepost 32.5-32.9, hillside stabilization between 0.7-0.3 miles south of Weott continues 24/7 with one-lane traffic and minor slowdowns.
Between milepost 39.8-43, sink hole repair about 2 miles north of Redcrest continues with traffic restricted to one lane each direction 24/7.
Expect minor slowdowns.
Between milepost 54.6-57.7 a project replacing the southbound Van Duzen River Bridge continues between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. weekdays. Expect traffic restricted to one lane each direction 24/7 and minor slowdowns.
Between milepost 78.6-78.9, PG and E is relocating a pole June 20 between 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Expect restricted northbound traffic on 5th Street and minor slowdowns.
Between milepost 100.6-100.7, drainage work south of Trinidad Road begins Monday 7 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays. Expect one-way traffic control and five-minute delays.
U.S. Hwy. 199 at Laurel, a bridge replacement and highway widening project is underway. Watch for trucks entering and leaving the work zone. Expect flaggers and possible single lanes of traffic during the daytime.
At Milepost 58-82, motorists should expect intermittent shoulder closures in north-and southbound directions, and intermittent single lane closures in both directions. phraim Cannon Catching found his way to Del Norte
