Crescent City's population jumped by three Dec. 20 when a local woman gave birth in Medford, Ore., to natural triplets.
The babies, born to proud parents Eric and Lori Taylor, were the first triplets born at the Oregon hospital in four years.
The babies were born after a 34-week pregnancy. During the last part of the waiting period, doctors moved Lori into a Medford facility so that she would be close to them for medical reasons.
"They told her she might have twins, we have twins in our family," said Eileen Brown, the babies' grandmother.
She added that a third heartbeat heard by the Taylors' physician ruled that out.
At birth, Holden weighed 3 1/2 pounds, Saxon 4 pounds, three ounces, and Ryker 4 pounds, 7 ounces.
