Del Norte County film commission now online

filmDELNORTE, Del Norte County’s film commission since July, has launched its website.

The commission is the liaison between film productions and the county.

“We have officially hung out our ‘open’ sign to the rest of the world announcing that Del Norte has incredible diverse locations and is film friendly,” said Cassandra Hesseltine, filmDELNORTE’s film commissioner.

“We need to fill the site with three things: crew, vendors, and photos,” said Hesseltine.

Locals are encouraged to visit “production resources,” create an account, log in on the site and list themselves under appropriate categories for crew and vendors offering services to the film industry (i.e. accommodations, catering, grips, etc).  Basic listings are free.

The film commission is also in the process of populating the “locations gallery” and filling in the “locations categories” and would welcome submissions of photos of unique locations to showcase the county.
