Del Norte County sheriff’s deputies are searching for an unidentified man who robbed the Denocos Federal Credit Union, 1244 Glenn St., on Monday.
The man, who was wearing a Halloween mask with a hood pulled over his face, allegedly sprayed an employee with pepper spray when he entered the credit union at about noon and demanded money, according to sheriff’s Commander Bill Steven.
The suspect, who was also armed with a handgun, left the credit union with an undisclosed amount of cash, Steven said.
The man was wearing dark clothing, Steven said.
Denocos Federal Credit Union serves employees of the Del Norte County Unified School District.
