GASQUET RESIDENTS ASKED TO ATTEND FIRE MEETING
Gasquet residents are requested to attend a fire meeting tonight at Gasquet Legion Hall.
Commanders Tony Luis and George Mina of the Del Norte County Sheriff's Department announced the meeting Wednesday and said only Gasquet residents can attend. Luis said people who do not live in the Gasquet area will be turned back because Highway 199 is still closed to all traffic but local residents and emergency vehicles.
A meeting for residents of Hiouchi and Low Divide Road will be held at a time and place yet to be announced.
Luis said the U.S. Forest Service, members of the Del Norte County Board of Supervisors and law enforcement officials should be in attendence to answer questions from residents.
