Fort Humboldt Park holds second steam-up

California State Parks, the Timber Heritage Association and North Coast Redwood Interpretive Association will hold their second steam-up 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at Eureka's Fort Humboldt State Historic Park.

The Falk, a historic Shay steam engine, will pull passengers in an open-bed car through Fort Humboldt.

Also offered will be tours of the building and grounds of the fort. The the park's store will stay open, and is featuring books on area history.

Admission, parking and train rides are free.
