Memorial for kayaker killed in accident to be held on Feb. 18

A memorial for Richard O. Buscho, a Crescent City man who was found dead in the Floras Creek two weeks ago, will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 18 in the Redwood Memorial Hospital Rose Garden.

Buscho, 57, died in a kayaking accident near Langlois, Ore. It was his second kayaking accident in less than three months.

Buscho was first reported missing on Monday morning on Jan. 22. He was found later that afternoon when a helicopter from the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station North Bend located his kayak and dog. Ground crews searched the area and recovered Buscho's body.
