Murder suspect caught in Crescent City

A Shasta County man suspected of murdering his son was arrested at a Crescent City motel on Sunday evening.

Bradley Weber Sr., 52, is alleged to have shot his son, Bradley Weber Jr., 33, the night of Nov. 2 at their home in Igo, 9 miles west of Redding, authorities said.

Weber Jr. was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at a Shasta County hospital, authorities said.

It’s suspected Weber Sr. fled the area and made his way to Del Norte County within days of the killing, said Del Norte County sheriff’s Commander Bill Steven.

Weber had connections and relatives here, Sheriff Dean Wilson said.

Authorities looked for Weber at a few Del Norte locations over the past few days, but to no avail, Steven said.

On Friday, authorities became privy to information that narrowed Weber’s location to within Crescent City, Steven said.

On Sunday, an exact location was learned to be the Penny Saver Inn, 655 L St.

Authorities located a room reserved by Weber’s girlfriend, Pamela Glasgow, 57, of Anderson.

Around 9 p.m., a contingent that included members of the Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, Crescent City Police Department, California Highway Patrol, Del Norte Search and Rescue, Crescent City Volunteer Fire Department and Crescent Fire Protection District, as well as federal marshals and Shasta County authorities, converged on the scene and ordered the suspects to come out of their motel room.

Glasgow was the first person to emerge and was arrested on suspicion of being an accessory to murder, Steven said.

Several minutes later, around 9:30 p.m., Weber came out and was arrested on suspicion of murder, Steven said.

After Weber was booked he lost consciousness related to a large quantity of alcohol he consumed during the final minutes before his arrest, Steven said.

Weber was transported to Sutter Coast Hospital, where he remains and is expected to recover, Steven said.

He will likely be extradited to Shasta County within the next two weeks, Steven said.
