New supervisor to take oath Monday

Before his first meeting as a Del Norte County supervisor, Roger Gitlin will take the oath of office Monday. Gitlin will be sworn in at noon at the Del Norte County Courthouse, 450 H St. Voters chose him to represent District 1 in the Nov. 6 election. Incumbent supervisors David Finigan and Martha McClure will also be sworn in during the ceremony. Finigan and McClure were re-elected to represent districts 2 and 5, respectively, in the June primary. Three re-elected Harbor Commission members, James Ramsey, Scott Feller and Wes White, will also be sworn in.
Gitlin’s first meeting as a supervisor will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Room 100 at the Flynn Administrative Center, 981 H St. The agenda is available at www.county |
