These are the misdemeanor and felony sentencings provided by the Del Norte County Superior Court for the dates of Aug. 15–21:

Darren G. Casteel, 39, Crescent City, was sentenced to 10 days in jail and three years of probation and fined $630 and $75 in public defender fees for disobeying terms.

Rebekka J. Sutton, 21, Crescent City, was sentenced to 30 days in jail, three years of probation and 100 hours of community work service and fined $937 and $50 in public defender fees for possession of a dangerous drug and a probation violation. 

• Julia S. Law, 35, Crescent City, was sentenced to six days in jail and three years of probation and fined $1,939 and $50 in public defender fees for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to appear. 

• Simon A. Carroll, 27, Crescent City, was sentenced to 60 days in jail for violation of community release.

• Richard R. Hemmingsen II, 52, Crescent City, was sentenced to 94 days in jail and four years of probation and fined $2,602 and $45 in public defender fees for driving under the influcence of alcohol or drugs with a .08 or above with a prior DUI and a special allegation of a high blood alcohol.

• Bruce R. Lecuyer, 64, Truckee, was sentenced to 48 hours in jail and three years of probation and fined $1,864, $61.87 for a city booking fee, and $75 in public defender fees for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

• Justin L. Farnsworth, 23, Crescent City, was sentenced to 180 days in jail, three years of probation and 100 hours of community work service and fined $1,342 and $400 for a probation report for two counts of burglary.

• Tyrel J. Grant, 19, Klamath, was sentenced to 40 days in jail, five years of probation and 200 hours of community work service and fined $1,040 and $150 in public defender fees for inflicting corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant.

• Darrin N. Bolshakoff, 28, Crescent City, was sentenced to 180 days in jail for petty theft/larceny and four probation violations. 

• Richard Rhodes, 53, Crescent City, was sentenced to 90 days in jail for violation of community supervision.

• Claudio Franco, 38, Escondido, was sentenced to 120 days in jail and fined $920 for battery on a cohabitant.

• William B. Davis, 46, Crescent City, was sentenced to 30 days in jail for failure to appear.

 Talena A. Sylvia, 29, Crescent City, was sentenced to 79 days in jail and four years of probation and fined $4,876 and $75 in public defender fees for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs with a prior and excessive blood alcohol and driving with a suspended license when license was suspended for a prior DUI.

• Deborah M. Pretes, 63, Crescent City, was sentenced to 180 days in jail and five years of probation, ordered to install an IID in any vehicle owned or operated for 60 months and fined $2,602 for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs with a prior special allegation.

• Gustavo Padilla, 23, Smith River, was sentenced to 48 hours in jail and three years of probation and fined $1,864 and $75 in public defender fees for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. 

• Clifton H. Jones, 35, Crescent City, was sentenced to 111 days in jail and three years of probation and fined $1,078 and $45 in public defender fees for battery, failure to appear and a probation violation.

• Robert L. Brooks, 41, Crescent City, was sentenced to five days in jail and fined $630 and $75 in public defender fees for failure to appear.
