Police log Jan. 11-17, 2012

Here are excerpts from the Crescent City Police Department call logs for Jan. 11-17.

Wednesday, Dec. 11

• At 12:35 p.m. a woman was arrested for public intoxication after reportedly defecating on the side of a building on the 900 block of J Street.

• At 9:45 p.m. a person reported four of his vehicles having slashed tires on the 600 block of L Street.

Thursday, Jan. 12

• At 12:30 p.m. a male with a knife attempting to hold up a female on the 800 block of U.S. Highway 101.

• At 4:40 p.m. a light shot out on the 1100 block of Oregon Street.

• At 8:45 p.m. a theft from a vehicle on the 300 block of M Street.

Friday, Jan. 13

• At 11:02 a.m. people rummaging around in a house on the 1100 block of Cessna Drive.

• At 12:56 p.m. an elderly man in men’s room at the Del Norte Superior Courthouse was playing with water and being disruptive.

• At 2:27 p.m. a woman reported a homeless man stole her boyfriend’s cell phone, went behind Safeway and demanded money to have it returned.

• At 6:25 p.m. a female reportedly trying to pass bad checks at Grocery Outlet.

Saturday, Jan. 14

• At 9:21 p.m. a trespasser at a vacant residence on the 400 block of Grant Court.

Sunday, Jan. 15

• At 6:40 p.m. a suspicious person in a backyard on the 1300 block of California Street.

• At 11:30 p.m. a hit-and-run accident at Kid Town Playground on Front Street.

• At 11:55 p.m. a man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon at Safeway.

Monday, Jan. 16

• At 7:30 p.m. a suspicious person at Tri-Counties Bank.

Tuesday, Jan. 17

• At 11:05 a.m. a vehicle accident that sent a female to the hospital near 3rd and L streets.

• At 11:30 a.m. a purse found on Monday was turned into the Police Department.

• At 4:10 p.m. a report of a person attempting to take items from Safeway, but being thwarted by an employee.

• At 5:35 p.m. a possible hit-and-run on the 1100 block of William Drive.
